Open Enrollment for 2018 has begun, and will close on November 21. There are not many changes to benefits offered by the University, details can be found on the UC’s Open Enrollment Site [http://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/oe/]
A Few Highlights of What’s New for 2018:
All UC's current medical plans will be available in 2018.
The Pay Band thresholds have moved slightly (Remember, this is based on your full-time salary rate as of Jan. 1, 2017.):
$54,000 or less for Pay Band 1, and;
$54,001 – $107,000 for Pay Band 2.
Medical plan premiums increase less than $10 a month across all salary and coverage levels. Though, premium increases for UC Care is a bit higher, ranging from $17–$53 a month.
Beginning in 2018 there will be a new pharmacy benefits administrator for UC's preferred provider organization (PPO) plans – Anthem Blue Cross will replace OptumRx.

Any changes you elect, will be effective January 1, 2018.
