Dear Brothers and Sisters at UCSF,
It is with great sadness that we relay the passing of one of our Union sisters at UCSF. Teamster Maritza Telleria, a respected 20-year employee in the HIMS department, died of COVID-19 on Jan. 29.
Our Union is in contact with her grieving family and Teamsters will donate $500 in Maritza’s name to the Teamsters Joint Council 7 scholarship fund. We will ensure the family receives their Teamsters life insurance payout.
Stay as safe as possible during these trying times, and contact us if you have any issues with workplace health and safety.
