This month we delivered a petition with more than 450 signatures to UC President Michael Drake and the UC Board of Regents calling on UC leadership to ensure fair pay and an equitable pay scale for AO2s. But we still need your help to get the message across to management.

We’re nearly five months into bargaining over AO2 wage scales, placement, and other vital issues and most UC campuses have yet to make a proposal that matches its own market data for salaries at similar institutions. Instead of addressing the vast number of AO2s stuck in the bottom half of their salary ranges despite many years of service, the University has repeatedly proposed cutting the top of the salary range that they set when they created the AO2 classification!
UC leadership needs to know that this is unacceptable. In addition to our letter writing campaign, we’re teaming up with United Students Against Sweatshops to blast President Drake and the UC on Twitter for failing to pay workers what they’re due.
Our Bargaining Team has been hard at work making our voices heard. Check out the emails they’ve sent to UC leadership here, and don’t forget to send your own!
