CSU/Teamsters 2020 South Bargaining Team-3 Election Information - CSU Fullerton, CSU San Marcos and CSU San Diego
On Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 6:00 a.m., an electronic Bargaining Team Member election ballot will be sent to the emails of members eligible to vote in the Bargaining Team Member election. Voting will be open for three days, closing on Thursday, September 2 at 6:00 p.m.
Please vote for your preferred candidate as soon as you receive your electronic ballot so that you do not lose your opportunity to vote. You will receive daily reminders that voting is open.
Contract reopener update:
- On July 15, 2021, the Teamsters notified the CSU that our union wants to exercise our right to reopen the current contract extension to bargain over wages and benefits. (Full contract negotiations on all articles of the current contract will begin in 2022.)
- The first contract reopener meeting on wages and benefits between the Teamsters and CSU was on August 13, 2021, with no proposals exchanged.
- The current Bargaining Team meets August 31 to prepare proposals.
- The second reopener meeting with the CSU takes place on Sept. 8, 2021.
The new Bargaining Team member that you elect this week representing CSU Fullerton, CSU San Marcos and CSU San Diego will immediately join the Bargaining Team in the proposal process and start negotiating with the rest of our Bargaining Team on Sept. 8, 2021.
