Notice is hereby given of the nomination and election for the following bargaining team members to negotiate pay ranges for the Library Professional 3 and 4 title:
Bargaining Team Composition: In accordance with Article 7 of the collective bargaining agreement with the University of California, the Union will comprise a bargaining team that includes eleven (10) rank-and-file members. Bargaining team seats will be assigned by campus in an effort to equitably represent members across the State. A candidate’s “home” campus will determine the seat they are running for. The seats and their geographic representation will be as follows:
Nominations: Nominations will be accepted beginning June 28, 2022, through July 12, 2022.
Nominations should be submitted to Melissa Munio at firstname.lastname@example.org; mailed or faxed to Melissa’s attention at Teamsters Local 2010, 7730 Pardee Lane, Suite 2010, Oakland, CA 94621; fax (510) 845-7444.
All Library Professionals who have signed a Member Power form on or after March 22, 2022, shall have the right to nominate, second or be a candidate of the bargaining team. Nominations and seconds must be made by a Library Professional 3 or 4 member other than the nominee, and accepted by the nominee. Nominators and nominees are encouraged to verify their membership status by contacting their Union Representative. Nominations must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
Election: The election will be conducted via electronic ballot using Election Buddy with all Library Professional Union members receiving a ballot via email beginning July 14, 2022, with the polls closing at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2022. The highest vote getter for each location shall be deemed elected to the team.
