Teamsters solidarity has paid off once again! Despite the challenging California budget year, our Teamsters member action and lobbying succeeded in winning increases in the CSU budget such that the University must implement the contractual raises and step placement scheduled for October 1! As soon as the Governor signed the final budget over the weekend, our Union demanded, and CSU provided, written confirmation that they will not seek to re-open our contract.
Our contractual raises and salary steps will be implemented Oct. 1, 2024, per our contract. The full language on our raises and salary steps can be read on page 66 of the ratified tentative agreement document linked below.
Congratulations and thanks to our CSU Teamsters on this great win!
“Thanks to all members who rallied, picketed, and went on strike at CSU to win our historic contract with restoration of salary steps after nearly three decades. Thanks to all who signed our petition to the legislature not to cut CSU’s budget and protect our raises! As we enter next year we will be gearing up to bargain our next contract, and may face another difficult state budget. Let’s keep standing together as Teamsters to protect our gains and build on what we have achieved!”
