This month, CSU Dominguez Hills leadership announced layoffs of Teamsters Local 2010 and CSUEU workers–and our Unions are fighting back. President Parham and CSU leaders are making choices that threaten public higher education and it’s up to us to defend against these attacks on workers’ livelihoods and the effects they would have on students and our campus. Over a decade ago, similar cuts were attempted at CSUDH, but failed because faculty, staff, students, community, and political leaders united and pushed back!

“Teamsters Local 2010 will fight every proposed layoff tooth and nail. CSU and the State of California should be investing in campuses to support improved enrollment, not slashing programs and laying off the workers who make CSU run. Teamsters stand with our sister Unions to stop the layoffs and CSU’s misguided actions.”
Jason Rabinowitz, Secretary-Treasurer
The CSU system has billions of dollars at its disposal: California’s 2024-25 budget includes a significant net increase in funding to the CSU, the Trustees raised tuition, and the CSU has billions in reserves. Budget decisions are choices, and collectively, we need to demand better.
Let’s join together to stop these harmful cuts in their tracks!
If you work at or near Dominguez Hills, join our CSU Union coalition rally on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to demand the CSU stop all layoffs! The rally begins at noon in front of Loker Student Union–join on your lunch or break time!
