We are proud to announce that the nominees for our upcoming Unit-6 Bargaining Team elections are set. The nominees for each seat are as follows:

Northern Region

Elections and Voting | February 14 – 22

All CSU Teamster members are eligible to vote in the Unit-6 Bargaining Team elections for their respective region and seat.  Elections will be conducted in-person by paper ballot at campus meetings February 14 – 22. The ballots will be counted at the end of each meeting with the total results sent on Monday, February 25. Provisional ballots will be available for graveyard shift employees. Please contact your Union Steward or Union Representative.

Unit-6 Bargaining Team Nominations

We are proud to announce that nominations for our Unit-6 bargaining team are now open! And in accordance to Article 7 in our contract with the California State University, our Teamster bargaining team will be made up of six rank-and-file members from across the State. These members will epitomize the best in our Union and will represent the interests of the entire 1,200 Teamster members in the Cal State System.

Bargaining Team
Each seat in the bargaining team will be assigned by region to which candidates will represent. A candidate’s “home” campus will determine the seat they are running for.

The seats and their geographic representation will be as follows:

Northern Region

Seat 1
CSU Humboldt, CSU Chico, CSU Sonoma, CSU Sacramento
Seat 2
CSU San Francisco, CSU San Jose, CSU East Bay, CSU Monterey Bay
Seat 3

Southern Region

Nominations

Nominations begin today and will be accepted through Tuesday,  February 12. If you would like to nominate a colleague for the Unit 6 Bargaining Team, fill out the nomination form and submit it to the Skilled Trades liaison Carlos Diaz no later than 5:00pm Tuesday, February 12.

Remember, nominations must be made by a member in good standing other than the nominee, seconded by a member in good standing other than the nominee, and accepted by the nominee. Prospective candidates are encouraged to verify the good standing status of their nominator and seconder as part of the nominations process by submitting a written request to the Secretary-Treasurer, Teamsters Local 2010, 400 Roland Way, Suite 2010, Oakland, California 94621.

Elections and Voting

All Teamsters Local 2010 Unit 6 members in good standing by the payment of dues through the month of January 2019, shall be eligible to run for bargaining team, nominate or second the nomination of others. We encourage all potential candidates to check their eligibility prior voting.  All nominees must complete the nomination form including the pledge regarding the duties of team members.

All CSU Teamster members are eligible to vote in the Unit-6 Bargaining Team elections which will be conducted in-person by paper ballot at campus meetings February 14-22.
