ARTICLE 1 – RECOGNITION
A. This Agreement, effective April 5, 2017, is entered into between The Regents of the University of California, a corporation (sometimes referred to hereinafter as the “University”), and Teamsters Local 2010, (sometimes referred to hereinafter as the “Union”). The University recognizes Teamsters Local 2010, which was certified by the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) on April 22, 2016, as the exclusive bargaining agent for matters within the scope of representation for the following classifications of UCLA employees, excluding those classes and/or employees designated as managerial, supervisory, and confidential by PERB.

B. Pursuant to PERB Rules and Regulations for unit modification, certain classifications may be added to the above-described UCLA Skilled Crafts Unit by mutual agreement of the parties. The University and Teamsters Local 2010 will 3 meet and confer, within thirty (30)-calendar days of the request of either party, regarding proposed new classifications to be added to the bargaining unit.
C. The term “employee” as used in this Agreement shall refer to any probationary, career, casual (limited) or apprentice employees of UCLA in the above mentioned unit except for those excluded pursuant to Section A. above.
