Happy Mother’s Day from Local 2010!

This Mother’s Day, we recognize not only mothers, but all the women who show up every day as caregivers, mentors, and leaders at home, at work, and in our union.

Motherhood, like union work, is often unseen in its hardest moments. It is early mornings, long days, and showing up even when you’re running on empty. It’s advocating for others, standing your ground, and holding things together when it matters most. Many of us carry these roles side by side — caring for our families while also standing up for fairness on-the-job. That shared experience is at the heart of our union: we show up for one another in unity, and we don’t let anyone stand alone.

A few reminders we can all carry with us: Be gentle with yourself — no one does this perfectly. Don’t get lost in the pressure to do everything. What matters most is showing up with care and consistency. And don’t be afraid to lean on others; that’s not weakness, it’s solidarity.

We also recognize that this day can be complicated. For those carrying loss, we hold you in our heart and in our community.

Thank you to every mother and every woman who cares for others. Thank you for the sleepless nights and the early mornings, for your courage to speak up and the tenderness to hold on, for all the ways you show up when no one is watching. You are the backbone of our families, our union, and our future.

To all the mothers and all the women who “mother” in so many ways: Your strength, your care, and your commitment make our union stronger.

Happy Mother’s Day, sisters. May you feel proud of the work you do, honored for the love you give, and supported by the union and the sisterhood that stands beside you.

Thank you and HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
