On Jan. 26-27, our Teamsters K4 Unit Bargaining Team met with UCLA administration to build upon a series of productive sessions in negotiating our next contract. We have made strides in areas such as Health & Safety and increasing the amount of money paid toward safety shoes.
We continue to push back against subcontracting to keep our Skilled Trades jobs in-house. With several sessions from now until April, we must continue to stand together as brothers and sisters and insist on a fair contract and raises that take our skills, experience and knowledge of the UCLA campus and facilities into account, especially with the Olympics around the corner.
