AALA Teamsters were proud to join thousands of families, students, and fellow Union workers at Wednesday’s Fight for LA rally at Grand Park!
Together with our fellow LAUSD Unions, UTLA and SEIU 99, we demanded LAUSD step up and invest in what actually matters: students, staff, and classrooms. No more billions spent on tech contracts and outside contractors. The real humans of our school district must be the priority!

“We have a common vision, and we’re in it together,” said Maria Nichols, AALA/Teamsters President, at the rally. “We’re understaffed. We’re overworked. We don’t have the necessary resources to really say we have safe schools and to really say that we’re servicing students.”
If LAUSD can’t meet our demands, workers are prepared to go on strike April 14. Classroom sizes are out of control, costs of living are skyrocketing, and schools can barely afford basic supplies. It’s time for to LAUSD to invest in US!
