On Tuesday, March 17th the Teamsters Bargaining Team did not meet with management. The Team spent the day in caucus session reviewing and writing contract proposals. Teamsters and Management passed the following Articles on Wednesday, March 18th.

Teamsters propose Effective July 2026, the SYS OPR job title (Title Code 8231) will receive an equity increase on average 1.5%.
Teamsters propose Employees who obtain and maintain specialized certifications shall be eligible for additional compensation, in accordance with Appendix D (New Appendix). To qualify for additional certification, pay, the certification must be a. Current, valid, and maintained in good standing; b. Directly related to the employee’s assigned duties or required operational support of University facilities as verified and approved by the University. The Union and Management can meet to consider additional certifications to be included in Appendix D (New Appendix).
(4) SPECIAL NOTE: All (TA) Tentative Agreements made between UCSD Management, and your Bargaining Team must be ratified by a majority vote of Teamsters K6-Unit Skilled Trades members during the Ratification Vote at the conclusion of bargaining.
