AO3/4, FMS4: Tentative Agreement Ratified!

arrow leftGo Back

After six months of tough bargaining, member support, and solidarity from Teamsters across the state, Teamsters Administrative Officer 3/4s and Facilities Management Specialist 4s have ratified our first-ever Union wage agreement!

99% of voting Teamsters said YES to our agreement! This overwhelming majority is a testament to the strength of our new agreement, which includes improved salary ranges, step placements raises and increased starting pay by almost 12% on average for AO3/4s and FMS4s on every campus and medical center!

Under the terms of our new agreement, the UC has until June 15 to process retro pay and initial step placements for all Teamsters AO3/4s and FMS4s.

SUMMARY OF AGREEMENT:

  • Initial pay step placement on the step closest to but not lower than your current rate of pay, retroactive to July 1, 2025.
  • Retroactive pay will be given as a pensionable lump sum payment.
  • Maintenance of vacation accrual rates for FMS 4s, AO3GFs and AO4GFs.
  • Maintenance of current FLSA designation for overtime exempt employees.
  • Conversion to career or limited appointments for contract employees, so long as more than 1000 hours were worked in the year prior to accretion.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) conversion to sick and vacation leave.
  • Newly required license and certification for FMS 4s will be paid for by UC.

This agreement would not have been possible without the help of every Teamster who signed a petition, spoke with their coworkers, or stood in solidarity with our Bargaining Team! When Teamsters fight, Teamsters win!
