TA Calls for Compounded Raises of 12.15% over 2 Years, Major Improvements in Workload and Flex Time

Join us on Zoom tomorrow, Monday, April 13 for an overview of our Certificated and Unit J Bargaining Teams’ UNANIMOUS Tentative Agreement with LAUSD which includes 12.15% in compounded wage increases by January 2027! The raises will be paid at 2% retroactive to July 1, 2025; 2% retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026; 4% effective July 1, 2026 and 3.65% effective Jan. 1, 2027. The retroactive raises back to July of 2025 will be significant for all members!

This amazing victory was only possible due to our solidarity together and with our fellow Union members of UTLA and SEIU Local 99!

AALA/Teamsters Tentative Agreement Town Hall

Monday, April 13
5:00 to 6:00 PM on Zoom

Agenda will cover the tentative agreement and next steps, including a ratification vote by the membership.

Let’s also not forget the incredible victory our Bargaining Teams achieved last week to address the excessive workload and hours we have endured due to District’s reductions in force and added initiatives.

Tentative Agreement — Article X – Duties, Responsibilities, and Hours

  • A defined 8-hour workday
  • A reasonable 40-hour workweek
  • Flex Time with notice and no pre-approval
  • Built-in flexible time for comprehensive high school administrators
  • Agreement to bargain the effects of any future changes to Supplemental Pay policy

This is more than contract language. This is a restoration of professional dignity, trust, and respect for how administrators manage the complex demands of our roles.

NICHOLS MARIA Jan 2025 professional scaled 1

“This moment did not happen by accident. It happened because 90% of you voted YES to authorize a strike. It happened because you trusted our union. It happened because you stood firm, you stood together, and you refused to be overlooked. Your courage at that vote changed the tone at the bargaining table. Your unity shifted the balance of power. Your perseverance made this moment possible.”

Maria Nichols
President, AALA/Teamsters Local 2010

“This Tentative Agreement is an unprecedented achievement for LAUSD school administrators, with significant well-deserved raises and new language that will greatly improve the quality of members’ work lives. Standing together as Teamsters, and in coalition with our sister Unions, we showed the District power like they have never seen before, which is what made this victory possible. Thanks to our hard-working bargaining teams and to our AALA/Teamsters members for your courage and determination to achieve this historic Agreement!”
