Workers to stand in solidarity in front of schools before and after school hours
Our Union sisters and brothers working at Los Angeles Unified School District are asking for support from their fellow Teamsters Local 2010 members. Not only are we members of the same Union as AALA / Teamsters 2010 members, but many of us are parents of kids who currently attend LAUSD schools, have in the past or may in the future. And our Los Angeles City and County tax dollars fund the LAUSD, so we have a say in how their money is spent!
LAUSD Union members will be picketing in front of schools Sept. 16 to show that they are united for schools and students, as well as being united for the affordable healthcare, improved working conditions and fair salaries that they deserve. LAUSD has nearly $5 billion in reserve funds that they should use to invest in the teachers and staff who serve our kids, in addition to the hundreds of millions of dollars they receive from taxpayers each year.

Participating Unions are AALA / Teamsters Local 2010, Teamsters Local 572, UTLA, SEIU, CSEA, School Police, Sergeants & Lieutenants, and Skilled Crafts.
On our own time off work, let’s join in solidarity with our AALA / Teamsters 2010 sisters and brothers by picketing with them before and/or after the school day on Tuesday, Sept. 16. Just show up in front of your neighborhood LAUSD school wearing your Teamsters Local 2010 gear. If you can, snap some photos while you’re there and send them to us at info@teamsters2010.org.
Most schools begin between 8:00-8:30AM and end between 2:25 and 3:35PM. Tuesday is a late start or early dismissal day for some schools, so check with your local school for Tuesday’s start and end times.
