95% of voting Teamsters have said YES to our strong new K3 Teamsters contract! That majority shows that members agree: This contract is a major victory for every UC Davis Skilled Trades Teamster!
Our new contract includes a 33.1% average compounded raise over five years, strong healthcare cost caps and subsidies that will result in significantly lower medical premiums, and more. We won this contract through our solidarity in the workplace and our dedication to fighting for dignity and equality for every K3 Teamsters worker!
Guaranteed Wage Schedule:
- Effective July 1, 2027: 7% raise (3% across-the-board raise and two step increases, average 4%). Step 1 and Step 2 of each classification shall be eliminated, and the steps shall be renumbered
- Effective July 1, 2028: 6% raise (2% across-the-board raise and two step increases, average 4%). Step 1 and Step 2 of each classification shall be eliminated, and the steps shall be renumbered
- Effective July 1, 2029: 6% raise (2% across-the-board raise and two step increases, average 4%). Step 1 and Step 2 of each classification shall be eliminated, and the steps shall be renumbered
- Effective July 1, 2030: 5% raise (3% across-the-board raise and one step increase, average 2%). Step 1 of each classification shall be eliminated, and the steps shall be renumbered
- Effective July 1, 2031: 5% across-the-board raise
For the raises taking effect in the first four years of the contract, 2027-2030, non-probationary employees whose pay exceeds the pay range maximum after the range adjustment is applied are not eligible for a base-building wage increase, but will be eligible for a non-base building, retirement eligible lump sum payment equal to the value of the range adjustment. Non-probationary career employees who are no longer eligible for a step increase will receive a retirement eligible non-base building, retirement eligible lump sum payment to the value of the step increase above.
Ratification meetings will be held at UC Davis Campus on Monday, October 12 and Friday, October 16 and at UC Davis Health on Tuesday, October 13. Times and locations will be announced. If you will not be able to attend an in-person meeting, digital ballots will be provided.
