FAs 1-2: Welcome to Teamsters Local 2010!

arrow leftGo Back

As a result of an agreement certified by the State Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) on Jan. 29, 2025, 320 workers in the University of California Financial Analyst 1-2 (FA 1-2) classifications across the state are now a part of the Teamsters Local 2010 CX Bargaining Unit.

Now that you are represented, your wages, hours and working conditions are protected under the CX Unit collective bargaining agreement and we will soon begin negotiating initial pay ranges and step placement for FA 1-2 workers with the UC. You will receive your first Teamsters raise of 3% (or greater if unrepresented employees get more) plus a 2% salary step increase for non-probationary, career employees in July 2025. Our Teamsters raises are guaranteed, which is not the case for unrepresented workers.

Please join us for a Town Hall via Zoom on March 4 at noon, so that we can welcome you to the Teamsters! You are now united with more than 23,000 administrative, paraprofessional, allied support and skilled trades workers at the University of California, California State University System, and the Los Angeles Unified School District, as well as 1.3 million Teamsters members in the U.S. and Canada.

“Welcome to all of our new Teamsters, and congratulations on winning Union representation and all of the raises, rights, and benefits that come with it! The power of our Union comes from the power of our members, so I urge you to join the Union and get involved! When we stand together as Teamsters, we win together!”

Jason Rabinowitz
Secretary-Treasurer, Teamsters Local 2010

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing the link to join the webinar.

In Marchwe will email all FA 1-2 workers who have signed a Member Power form a bargaining survey to get your feedback on priorities during negotiations with the UC. If you are interested in being on our Bargaining Team, please let your Union representative know! Find your Union Rep by clicking here.

Only Union members can participate in the negotiations process, including bargaining surveys, serving on the Bargaining Team, and voting on Union contracts. All newly represented workers are encouraged to unite with our fellow UC workers by signing a membership application today. This sends a clear message to the UC that we are in this together!

Become a member now by clicking here.

Our Union is only as strong as our members. When we bargain we need to show the UC that we are united and ready to do what it takes to get the best agreement possible. Unions are funded solely by members and do not receive money from outside interests or corporations. Member dues are necessary to fund critical items such as expert Union representatives, attorneys, negotiators and more. The dues rate is 1.44% of your base earnings and dues will not be deducted until we ratify the new wage scales and step placement for your title. You’ll quickly see that the Union difference of better benefits, bigger paychecks and respect on-the-job far outweighs the cost of dues.

If you can’t join the online Town Hall, please contact your Union Representative for next steps.
