Our Teamsters Bargaining Team for Financial Services Analysts sat down for the first bargaining session with the UC Feb. 18-19, and we’re asking all members to show support for our Bargaining Team! Add your name to our petition below to let the UC know that we won’t accept unfair pay on our campuses.
UC made their initial proposal on wages during our first session, proposing unacceptable salaries well below what hard-working FSAs deserve! Most FSAs took their positions as promotions or as reclassifications under CareerTracks, taking on more responsibility and higher levels of work, but the UC continues to insist that FSAs are only worth clerk pay.
89% of FSA 1s are paid below the midpoint for their position’s salary range, 84% of FSA 2s are paid below the same, and more than one-third of FSA 2s who have served the University for more than 10 years are below that salary range midpoint! This is totally unacceptable and the UC must start paying FSAs what we’re worth.

As workers who keep the nation’s preeminent public university system running, we demand more from the UC! The UC brings in billions every year from public funding and rising student tuition, but still they force their own workers to pay more in retirement contributions, parking, and healthcare-related costs. They claim a commitment to public service at the same time as they say that there is no more money for the workers who make the UC run smoothly.
We demand that the UC share the wealth with Teamsters FSAs. The money our proposals represent is pennies to the UC but would allow Teamsters workers to afford to buy the groceries they need and pay for housing in the most expensive state in the country.
