Article 25 – Protective Clothing (proposed by Teamsters)
Teamsters proposed that the dollar amounts remain the same for prescription glasses and work boots. Language was removed that required management to replace worn out inserts and laces.

Article 40 – Insurance and Retirement Benefits (proposed by Teamsters)
A proposal was made by Teamsters that would provide a series of protective “CAPs” on future medical premium cost increases to the K6-Unit. Currently the K6-Unit contract has no protection language against UCSD increasing future medical premium costs to employees.
The Teamster proposal included language to lower the current baseline rates for Blue & Gold and Kaiser plans upon contact ratification. The proposal also included a 5% “CAP” on any medical premium increases per year on Blue and Gold and Kaiser with a maximum increase of no more than $25 per month.
The proposal also included health insurance subsidies for Blue & Gold and Kaiser Insurance Bands (Pay Band 1, Pay Band 2, Pay Band 3, and Pay Band 4). Currently all K6-Unit employees are in Pay Band 2.
