UC Stalls Bargaining – Register to Attend Zoom Town Hall for Patient Navigator 2s

UC Davis, UC San Francisco, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, and UC Irvine still propose extremely low minimum and maximum pay compared to the advertised TCS range and these proposals would red circle more than 10 employees who have never received a step increase. The UC proposals are disrespectful of the valuable services that we provide to UC Health patients. We have, however, reached a tentative agreement with UCLA.

Still No Agreement on Retroactive Shift Differentials

We are close to a tentative agreement on shift differential pay, but our Union team proposed a retroactive effective date to the date of accretion of the title in May 2022. The University is stalling and wants an effective date of up to 90 days after ratification. PN2s have been doing the same type of work at the same undesirable hours alongside coworkers who are receiving shift differential for every hour.

Still No Agreement on Additional Step Increases

The University still refuses to include even a single step increase in their proposal. Historically, newly accreted titles get at least one step increase in their title-specific agreement. Our 6% July 2022 raise was better than the 4.5% increase given to unrepresented workers, but it’s not enough to keep up with the cost of living, nor does it account for lost wages we incurred during COVID.
