Talk & Workshop: Remembering the Coors Boycott & Beer Strike of ’73

Join Teamsters Joint Council 7 as we remember and discuss the historic Coors Boycott and Beer Strike of 1973! Organized by Teamsters Local 888 and the late activist Harvey Milk, the Bay Area branch of the national boycott had an enduring effect on local politics and activism.
The event will include a history talk by Allyson Brantley, author of Brewing a Boycott: How a Grassroots Coalition Fought Coors & Remade American Consumer Activism, a panel discussion, a never-before-seen interview with activist Cleve Jones, and a hosted lunch at 2:30 PM. Join JC7 for an incredible, free afternoon of history and organizing!
