K4 Teamsters Kick Off Contract Negotiations with UCLA

On Dec. 1-2, our K4 Skilled Trades Bargaining Team met with UCLA to begin negotiations for our next contract. Although we made progress on a few articles, we have a long way to go to get a strong contract that will acknowledge the important work we do to keep UCLA campuses and health centers safe, well-maintained and running smoothly. 

Our team made counterproposals on Article 10 Training & Development, and there was much discussion on Article 11 Promotion and Transfer and Article 25 Discipline & Dismissal. Our team feels that there is a strong need for the University to invest more in its workforce by providing more resources for training and internal promotions.
