We’re ready to fight for our rights at every UC, CSU, and LAUSD worksite!
More than 100 Teamsters leaders came together in our Oakland Union Hall this week for our 2026 Leadership Conference. Over two days, Teamsters 2010 members, officers, and staff worked together to plan the next three years of our Union’s growth. With a new agreement secured for LAUSD Teamsters, negotiations heating up for UC Teamsters, and the fight for CSU Teamsters’ 2025 raises ongoing, our Union is prepared to fight for Teamsters workers at every step of the contract process!
Our Leadership Conference was the culmination of our Union’s most ambitious and detailed series of strategic planning workshops yet. Our Executive Board, Administrative Workers, Skilled Trades, and AALA Boards, plus our Union staff, each held their own planning workshops in the leadup to our conference, and the results reflected that work!
Members and leaders chose as some of our goals winning strong contracts, activating and engaging our membership, developing Union leaders, and fighting for job security through organizing and education. Breakout groups discussed strategies like learning from other unions’ victories as we fight for AI protections and connecting with members through new media platforms and expanded content. Every participant focused on how we can make Local 2010 the leanest and meanest Union in California education!

Throughout the conference we were proud to be joined by an amazing group of labor allies, including Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee, State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis, and Katie Porter, the Teamsters-endorsed candidate for California Governor!

Thank you to every member leader who joined us this week! With workers’ rights under attack from all sides, it’s more important than ever for working people to come together and plan how we’ll strengthen our Union and fight back!

“We have built an incredible team of leaders in Teamsters Local 2010, and together we have built our Union into a powerhouse for workers’ rights in California education. Through our strategic planning process, we are preparing to build on our successes to continue growing our Union by leaps and bounds, and winning strong contracts and great raises that our members deserve!”
