CSU Skilled Trades Teamsters,
Please join us for a Zoom meeting to discuss and vote on an improvement that Teamsters have obtained to our agreement with the CSU, which changes how the number of years in a classification is calculated toward our target step in our new Teamsters salary step system. The change will allow specific workers to count “cumulative” years in their classification instead of “consecutive” years.
Voting on this agreement will be conducted anonymously and electronically during the meeting. Members must log on to Zoom using their own computer or smartphone in order to vote. Smartphone users are encouraged to download the Zoom app ahead of time, then may tap the meeting link in your registration confirmation email to join the meeting once it begins. CSU Agreement Discussion and Vote

Under the proposed agreement, cumulative years of service may be counted, if all criteria of the agreement are met, when:
- A worker’s previous classification was abolished by management.
- A worker was laid off, no matter how long the separation, and re-hired into the same classification at the same campus.
- A worker utilized retreat rights to maintain employment instead of being laid off.
The MOU will resolve issues faced by many workers in attaining the correct target step in the new salary system.
