Teamsters Local 2010, along with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and worker and human rights advocates across the country, mourns the tremendous loss of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
“We are saddened by the loss of a great American hero, who fought for the rights of women and also for working people,” said Jason Rabinowitz, Teamsters 2010 Secretary-Treasurer. “We need to honor her legacy by fighting for her replacement to be a judge who will continue to stand for workers and Union rights, including overturning the anti-Union Janus decision.”
Teamsters 2010 President Catherine Cobb also expressed her feelings of loss: “She was a tireless and resolute champion for justice. With her soft-spoken demeanor, she stood firm and tall in her 4’ 11” frame and was fierce and never wavered on her quest for justice for all Americans. She was a trailblazing Supreme Court Judge who was a strong advocate for equality for everyone. She will be deeply missed.”
